Please Note: This animal is listed as a courtesy to another organization. Please be sure to contact the foster/caretaker for more information about him.

Nakona (aka Kona) is a Siberian Husky and he’s house trained, good with kids and small dogs, unsure about cats (most likely no cats due to the husky's high prey drive).  He's great on a leash and loves to snuggle and follow you all around the house.  He’s a happy good boy.

His original owners passed away & the family could not take him in.  The neighbors tried to care for him during this transition and he got out.  He was gone for about a week. When he came back the neighbors were going to take him to a shelter, but his foster mama intervened. She decided to foster him until she found him a forever home.  When she brought him home, he had fleas from his week-long adventure, so she took him to the vet for treatment and a bath.  When they got back home he just wouldn’t leave her side.

She was able to find him a home in 4 days .  That’s where he’s been for the last year or so. She thought everything was fine, but his new owner decided she wants to take him to the shelter because she can no longer care for him. He’s a great dog, but her reason is that she can no longer physically take care of him because of her health issues.  So Kona's foster mama intervened again & Kona will stay with her and her husky until they can find him the RIGHT forever home.
