Chausie : : Female : : Adult
Please Note: This animal is listed as a courtesy to another organization. Please be sure to contact the foster/caretaker for more information about her. Please contact me if you know of anyone fabulous that is interested in adopting a Chausie. Her name is Biddy and she is considered to be a Chausie of the black ticked tabby variety. She's 4 years of age, totally healthy, fully vetted and even comes with insurance. She is an owner surrender and located in Orange County, California. She's gorgeous and affectionate. She was living with a male Chausie but her previous mom said that she was attacking the male which doesn't sound that out of the ordinary for some female cats. Anybody that knows female cats, knows that many of them like to exude their "dominance" in sometimes bratty ways. I met her and she is ALL cat and she knows it. She's a GORGEOUS gold and would add a wonderful, sexy energy to a beautiful home. She's an incredible find. Thank you for keeping your eyes and ears open for her new home. ♡
Some additional information regarding Chausie behavior from Wikipedia:
Chausies by nature are a gregarious, fun-loving nondomestic species. They are the otters of the cat world. Because breeders outcrossed the foundation jungle cats to mostly very intelligent, outgoing breeds such as the Abyssinian and Oriental Shorthair, the result was predictable. Chausies are highly intelligent, active, athletic cats. They are often very "busy" as kittens. As adults, they are quieter, but they still retain a playfulness and intellectual curiosity lifelong. One thing to keep in mind: Chausies do not like to be alone. They need to have other cats as companions or have human company most of the time. Chausies get along well with dogs, too, and will do fine if raised with a canine buddy. Additionally, Chausies form deep bonds with people. They are extremely loyal, and may have difficulty adjusting if rehomed as adults. They need intelligent people who like living with complicated, intelligent cats.
