He has an independent side and would be fine as an only kitty, but would also do well with a non-aggressive kitty friend.

Garth is positive for FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus), and FIV+ cats can still live a healthy and happy life, it just means their immune system is a little compromised. They must be kept indoors at all times and can be in the same home as other cats that are not aggressive. FIV cannot be transmitted to humans. Casual contact, sharing food dishes, litter boxes and grooming with other cats will not transmit FIV.

Garth enjoys being with people, getting attention and being loved. He shows his affection with loud purrs and head butting your hand.
