Meet Scrappy! Scrappy and his pal Scooby were placed in a box and abandoned one night at the pet store where we have our cattery. We put the word out and thankfully two fosters stepped up to make sure these boys never made it to the county shelter. 

We think Scrappy is about ten months old. He has seen the vet, was neutered, and is in good health. We are not sure if Scooby and Scrappy are siblings...they are great pals, but do not have to be adopted together. His foster mom says Scrappy is super friendly, great with older kids, loves cats, and REALLY would love to have a dog pal around with him! Initially, he will cling to women in the house, as men take a bit more time for him to warm up to. Scrappy is playful and a HUGE snuggler! He loves curling up on your lap and just hanging out, playing tug-of-war with a stuffed toy, and he absolutely loves walks and places where he can safely run free and stretch his running legs.

 Scrappy’s “dream” home would be with an older family who has a quiet and calm home, because he gets nervous around a lot of commotion and would just hide under a table. We don’t suggest young children because of this, as they can be too overwhelming for him and would just scare him into a hiding spot. He is crate trained, but only likes being in there to sleep, if he stays in the crate during the day, good luck getting him in there at night without hearing a whimper or two. For this reason, his foster parents let him roam all day and put him in the crate at night (after a couple hours of downtime that involves some fantastic snuggling) and he goes right in without a problem. Mainly, if you walk him and snuggle with him, he will be the best dog you ever had!
